What is the Digital Master Test?
The dMAT is a standardised academic aptitude test for selected Master's applicants. APS India has introduced it step by step as an additional part of the documentation process for affected applicant groups. It does not replace APS document verification.
g.a.s.t. administers the test and issues a separate dMAT certificate. APS India remains responsible for checking academic documents and incorporating the required result into the APS process.
Search results often confuse the spelling with financial Demat accounts. This guide is about the Digital Master Test used in the academic APS India route.
Eligibility depends on the application route, not a keyword.
The current announcement concerns selected Master's applicants from India whose previous degree falls within named Engineering; Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Economics; or Business and Management groups for Summer Semester 2027 and later.
Transition rules and exemptions can apply, including specific APS steps completed before 29 June 2026, an already completed APS procedure, and confirmed special programme routes. Your official degree title and current APS instructions matter more than a broad description of your subject.
